a.c.k. was founded 1997 by Dr. Martin Soerensen and Juergen Weckenmann. The company goal was, and still is as of today, to design and build high-performance industrial UV-reactors. After the first year in business, UV reactors, combined with other processes, were implemented at satisfied customers. However, even after immediate success it was still not easy for these two entrepreneurs to overcome skepticism of many potential customers regarding UV technology because too many other UV manufacturers have had already made such promises without success, and thus, damaging the market. At that point, an English Investor (3i Venture Capitol) joined the team by investing funds into the R & D department and for company growth. 10 years later the investor departed the company again according to our business plan. Now a.c.k. aqua concept was successfully established with many rewarding installations at very respectful companies, such as Airbus, BASF, Tata Steel, etc. Of course, we are constantly discovering new applications with new ideas so that, meanwhile, our company has gained substantial recognition worldwide.
